St Luke’s has a long history in Castlecliff. It was once a part of St Peter’s parish and became a parish in its own right in the 1960’s under the first vicar, Reverend Bob Sanders. A church was originally in Mosston Rd, then in Bamber St from which the old wooden church was moved to the present site. It was later replaced by the current modern facilities.
The congregation became part of the Whanganui Parish based at Christ Church in 2016.
Various meetings and activities are now based there. The Facilities are also used by various community groups.
